This evening I also felt depressed, just like Aslan. We ate supper in silence. This mood didn't let me fall asleep. I tried to count rams, but it didn't help. Suddenly, I heard a deep breath of Susan. I asked her, if she also had such a horrible feeling connected with Aslan. She confirmed. We decided to go outside and look around. We left the tent carefully and suddenly, Susan caught my arm and showed me Lion leaving our cantonment. We followed him without a word. He was walking the way to the Stone Table! Aslan looked diffrent than the one we ever knew. His tail and head were hanging heavy and he was inching. Suddenly, on the forest glade, where was no shadow, he stopped, turned around and asked us, why do we follow him. I told him the truth. Aslan said, that he felt very lonely and depressed. He let us put our hands on his mane and go on. When we came to the last tree, Lion stopped and said goodbye. We cried and hugged him. Then he turned around and entered on the top of the hill. Me and Susan crouched down and that's what we saw: All of the White Witch's army were standing around the Stone Table. When they saw Aslan, they tied him. He was very calm, in contrast to us. Then one of the ogres shaved off the Lion. He looked totally diffrent without his mane. White Witch's army was calling him names. I cried thinking, how they can do something like this. They were BEASTS! Witch gave an order to muzzle Aslan. They started to pull him to the Stone Table. When Lion was lying on it, White Witch approached to him. She raised her hand and... We didn't saw a motion of her hand. We couldn't look at this and we hide our faces in our hands. Witch yelled, that it is OVER and now they are going to end this war! Everybody started defecting the slope and we were in a serious danger. When there was a silence again, we ran up to the Stone Table. We kissed Aslan's head and started to cry. We tried to put off his muzzle and we did it. We also tried to unbind him, but we couldn't. Nodes were clamped strongly. We cried for hours and hours. Finally, I noticed that the sun is rising and that little mice are biting through nodes! All of them felt on the ground. It was cold and me and Susan decided to go for a walk. When we stopped on the edge of the slope, we heard a deafening crash! I was afraid, that something bad happened to Aslan! We hared away to the Stone Table. It was broken and there was no Lion there! I was sobbing and Susan asked me, were those the new spells. And suddenly we heard HIS voice saying 'yes'! We turned around and ran to Aslan. We hugged him and he told us about the spells, which were not known by White Witch. That if victim, which have never betrayed, will be killed instead of traitor, Table will be broken and Death will rewind its judgments. Lion started jumping over our heads and we were playing with him.
What was next? I will tell you soon.
Kisses, Lucy
